I began my legal career in public interest law working for the Bluhm Legal Clinic as a Staff Attorney and then as a Clinical Professor. My work included representing juveniles accused of crimes, in both Juvenile and Criminal Court, as well as advocating for victims of Domestic Violence. I seek to return to serving the public as Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County in the Juvenile Justice or Child Protection Division.
I have practiced law for more than 20 years and a majority of my cases have been in Cook County, Illinois. The range of practice areas in which I have worked, combined with the various backgrounds of my clients has prepared me for the Judiciary in Cook County. I am a skilled and talented litigator which will benefit me as a Judge, the practicioners who appear before me and most importantly, the parties over whose matters I am presiding.
My experience in both private practice and public interest law gives me a unique perspective in that I am able to identify with counsel, the litigants, their sundry needs and challenges faced.
