Responses to our questions

The U.S. government is now $20 trillion in debt. To address that historic level of public indebtedness, the country would need to raise revenue and/or decrease spending. What is your position on the budget and debt?

It is evident that the Top 1/10th of 1% has completely abandoned their responsibility to pay their fair share in taxes to the federal government with the advent of the New Republican Tax. Law. This measure is the height of irresponsibility and looting of the Federal Treasury.

This group of families wants the masses of the people of this country to completely, inequitably and unfairly shoulder the debt of this nation. The U.S. Corporations were overflowing in cash that was stashed in offshore tax havens in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, over 4 Trillion dollars that through this law can bring this money to this country under-taxed, if taxed at all. I consider this to be sheer selfishness by this Republican Congress thrust on the American People is an absurd burden that will lead to a market crash. The American Middle-Class and the working poor cannot afford this travesty. It must be repealed immediately.

There must be a priority change in how the super wealthy in this country pony up to the table and give rather than take. This is the real responsibility of those who much is given, much is required. Tax Cuts to the super wealthy are a piss-poor way to exhibit fiscal sanity. Ronald Reagan deeply cut taxes on corporations and individuals from 70% to 28% and later he had to raise taxes 11 times to make up the BIG HOLE he blew up in the nation budget and debt. Social Security was taxed for the First Time in his watch.

Thusly, the Top 1% must come to grips with their continued thirst to give nothing to this country in "paying" for what they receive not cutting their taxes to the Federal Government and thinking the masses and their dire needed programs be sacrificed just to close the the hole "THEY" made. This must cease. There is wealth inequality and this is how it is made, created and maintained. We are ALL American Citizens equally. We must display this in deeds not empty words. This not the way to run a massive country on the mentally of "fend for yourself".

The Top 1% of this country has made unnecessary pain and misery on the bottom 99% of this nation and it will come to rue the day that it has displayed such distain towards other Americans. To the Top 1 %, pay your fair share of taxes now. This country needs the money. If not, I will propose to raise them on you without mercy and you will still have plenty. This country needs the money.

Can you identify any major federal expenditures or programs that you would eliminate?

The Defense Budget is bloated and there is plenty of room there for reductions. The Republican Congress gave the Pentagon grotesque sums money in their budget it said it did none need not asked for. It's time for "butter issues" to be acted on. The New irresponsible Tax Law MUST BE REPEALED!!

Medicare and Medicaid costs continue to spiral. How can these programs be restructured to control costs and avoid collapse? Be specific about your willingness to change or reduce future benefits.

The Republicans in Congress have lost their way as to being deficit hawks and abdicated this to "FUTURE" Congresses. That thinking is irresponsible.

Medicaid and Medicare are entitlement programs that are responsible programs that absolutely must be kept well funded. These "untouchable" programs like Social Security can be completely solvent with the advent and passage into law MEDICARE FOR ALL.

If you can pass a selfish woefully one-sided Tax Lae where the largest go to the Top 1/10th of 1%, this Congress said to the nation it governs, "We're cashing out!" This is evil and an example of fiscal we don't give a hoot about what happens to this county, that's someone else's problem. It's time for responsive 1%ers to come voice to the other 1%era, "You need to pay your fair share of taxes too maintain our nation for peace & tranquility sake.

What if anything should be the federal government's role in helping Americans obtain health insurance coverage?

The leading role. There is no substitution for good health. To maintain that at reasonable costs thee must be regular maintance for our bodies. Medicare for All is the solution. This is priority. This must become the law of the land now.

Economic growth has been steady but wage growth is slow. Are you content with the state of the economy? What is your recipe for enhancing American prosperity?

Put money in average people's pocket.they will spend it. The Top 1% will hoed it and save it. Money must flow not be sitting and be stagnat in the hands of average person our economy will elevate itself. People must have money to make this idea work. Too many have no access to money to take care their daily needs.

If you could fix longstanding problems with this country's immigration system tomorrow, what would you do? What is your position on the future of DACA and the Dreamers?

I would face the fact that those here illegally my be made legal. I would tell these people that you will get legal status in 5-7?years once your application has been submitted. Pay a fine for being here illegally and remain free of trouble with the laws of this country and be productive to our republic. DACA & Dreamers as stated above. No ripping apart families. This issue should have been long before solved knowing that children being brought here would grow up here and face this messy situation President Trump is enforcing.

North Korea's nuclear weapons program represents a direct threat to the security of the United States and its Pacific allies. How should the U.S. confront or contain Kim Jong Un's regime?

There is much more to this story than is being told. Should a missile fired from North Korea reach our airspace it would bode badly with this President. But I am of the mindset that if previous Presidents kept North Korea in check though democracy, why is that such a hard issue now?? There is too many missing pieces to this that I am not able to definitively able to properly comment further.

ISIS is contained in Syria and Iraq but terrorism remains a threat. What are your priorities in keeping the country safe?

Always be viligent and watchful. Foreign and domestic.

Should the U.S. continue to abide by the terms of the nuclear agreement with Iran?

What is your position on the continued presence of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan?

Question is why are we in this perpetual war there? Enough is enough is enough. End it and let's bring our soldiers stateside.

Do you support a unified, federal background check system for gun sales? Do you support magazine limits or a ban on certain rifles? Describe, briefly, your position on how to balance safety with the Second Amendment.

Yes I support a unified, federal background check system. There should be limits as we are not at war here. There is absolutely no need for large round clips and attachments capable of firing 100 round magazines. I believe in the "WHOLE" Second Amendment not just the later half.

Should the U.S. government take steps to curb emissions of greenhouse gas? If so, what steps? If not, why not?

It must or we will become like China is in their terrible air quality. Future generations must have good breathable air. We MUST endure it is there for them. There are inventions currently that will cut greenhouse emissions in half. We need to adopt those and promote them through ledgistation and get them out to the masses to be implemented. We have to be bold in this area or our planet will not sustain our lives, current or future generations.

Tell us something about you that might surprise us.

I am a ordinary man doing an extraordinary thing in running for to win and become the Congressman my district needs and deserves. My honesty in boldly speaking candidly here describes why I deserve your endorsement for the 2nd Congressional District joining in the next Democratic led U.S. House of Representatives. Not selling out will surprise you. Because I won't. Thank you for examining my questionnaire. I ask all in my district to cast your vote for me during early voting and on March 20th, 2018. On that day, I want more votes than my opponent to win the Democratic Nomination.

If you are an incumbent, tell us the most significant accomplishment of your current term.

I am not tre incumbent ye. That's my goal.
