I am a former educator who was a litigator for twenty years before being appointed to the Cook County Circuit Court by the Supreme Court on February 14, 2017. I had served as both a special state's attorney and a special corporation counsel.
My practice included all aspects of civil and criminal litigation, including research, motion practice, pleadings, written and oral discovery, bench and jury trials and appeals. I handled a wide variety of civil, commercial, employment and criminal matters and represented middle-market as well as Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries on labor and employment law, commercial, and general litigation issues, before federal and state agencies and state and federal courts. Further, I represented juvenile wards of the state on behalf of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on criminal matters. I have submitted my credentials to both the Chicago Bar Association and the member organizations of the Alliance of Bar Associations and received 100% positive bar ratings.
I am currently assigned to the First Municipal District, which includes felony preliminary hearings, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses. I have the experience, qualifications and compassion to honorably represent the Cook County community on the Circuit Court.

I am an avid comic book collector and sci-fi fan. I also actually know the answer to the long-debated question- which Star is better: Trek or Wars? But I'm not telling.
